| Eligibility | Qualified examination for B.A. under the NEP-2020 based FYUP framework being run at Panjab University or any other UGC recognized Indian/foreign University for admission to M.A. two-year programme. The candidate should earn at least 24 credits in a Minor/Multi-disciplinary Course (Political Science) in the B.A./B.A. (Hons.) as a requirement for admission to the M.A. two-year programme in the subject of Political Science. In case, the candidate falls short of 24 credits, he/she may appear for additional courses in the subject of Political Science at the UG level to qualify for the 24 credits requirement. However, the M.A. Res. Option shall be available to candidates having 75% percent marks in their qualifying degree. OR (ii) Passed a three-year B.A. (Hons.)/B.A. examination with 50% marks from Panjab University under 10+2+3 system of education of recognized University/Board/Council or any other examination recognized by Panjab University as equivalent for admission to M.A. Two-year Programme. However, the M.A. Res. Option shall be available to candidates having 75% percent marks in their qualifying degree. OR (iii) Passed B.A./B.A.(Hons.) examination under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) with 50% marks and earning at least 24 credits in a Generic Elective (GE)/Multi-disciplinary/minor Course (Political Science) in the B.A./B.A. (Hons.) Course shall also be deemed sufficient to satisfy a requirement for admission to the M.A two years. programme in the subject of Political Science. In case the candidate falls short of 24 credits, he/she may appear for additional Courses in the subject of Political Science at UG level to qualify the 24 credits requirements. However, the M.A. Res. Option shall be available to candidates having 75% percent marks in their qualifying degree. |
